The Robbins Police Department provided the following information for March and April.
March:
Week 2
Traffic stop: Bryan Minor was stopped on Sunset Drive and Highway 24/27 because Minor was known to have a suspended license, according to Robbins Police Chief Ben Haddock. He was charged with driving while license revoked.
Traffic stop: Clarence Ring and Evelyn Morris were stopped on Sunset Hills and Highway 705 for expired registration. Haddock said that officers saw an open container, which gave them probable cause to search.
Ring was charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle with controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule III (Suboxone), possession of marijuana up to a half ounce, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, expired registration card, and no inspection. Morris received a citation for an open container and was released.
Traffic stop: Lakayla Williams was stopped on Sunset Drive and Shady Lawn Road for expired tags. She was charged with simple possession of schedule III (Suboxone), possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of schedule VI, resisting a public officer, window tint violation, no insurance, expired registration, and active warrants for Cumberland County.
Week 3
Traffic stop: Annaylei Florez, the driver, and Brisayda Garcia were known to have a suspended license and were stopped, said Haddock.
Florez was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver, possession of schedule II (methamphetamine), two counts of maintaining a vehicle of controlled substance, possession of schedule II (fentanyl), alter/destroy evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked.
Garcia was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver, possession of schedule II (methamphetamine), maintaining vehicle with controlled substance, and alter/destroy evidence.
Traffic stop: The driver fled officers from Highway 24/27 and Highway 705, and after losing sight, officers stood down. After an investigation, the suspect was determined to be Kevin Pages of Troy, said Haddock. He was charged with fleeing to elude, reckless driving, heed lights and sirens, speeding, driving with no license, driving with no headlamps, and rear light violations.
Traffic stop on Hemp Street: Emilio Avelea-Garcia was charged with driving while impaired, failure to comply with license restrictions, possession of methamphetamine, possession schedule II (Fentanyl), maintain vehicle of controlled substance, driving with no license, resisting public officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper left turn, driving left to center, exceeding posted speed limit, and possession of open container.
Traffic stop on Highway 705 and Hemp Street: Donald Dunmyer was charged with possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz. possession of marijuana paraphernalia, break light violation, and lying to police officers.
Traffic stop on Highway 705 and Rockingham Street: Haddock said Bryant Crawford had previously received several tickets for driving without a license, so officers made the traffic stop, and he was charged with driving while license revoked, revoked tags, and no liability insurance.
Report of breaking and entering: John Newman allegedly forced himself into a home. Since there were no trespassing signs, he was charged with second-degree trespassing, and since he was told to leave the property and did not, he was also charged with first-degree trespassing.
Pedro Ugarte was served with an active child support warrant and placed under a $1,000 cash bond.
Week 4
Traffic check: Shannon Conley was charged with driving while license revoked, simple possession of Schedule VI, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Traffic stop on Highway 705 and S. Middleton Street: Expired tag from Texas. Leron Thompson Jr. was charged with concealed gun, expired registration, failure to surrender license, resisting a public officer, and misdemeanor conspiracy to commit a crime. Harvey Sangster was charged with resisting a public officer and misdemeanor conspiracy to commit a crime. Sterling Brown was charged with resisting public officer, misdemeanor conspiracy to commit a crime, and possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz. possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and failure to wear a seatbelt.Victor Cooper was charged with resisting public officer, misdemeanor to commit a crime, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
Possible breaking and entering: Jeremy Epps was charged with driving under the influence, two counts of breaking and entering in motor vehicle, breaking and entering, injury to public property, failure to report an accident, and speeding.
April:
Week 1
Traffic stop on Highway 705 and Noah Road: Syncere Carter was charged with possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz. and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Arika Moore was charged with littering less than 10 pounds
Traffic stop on Highway 24/27 and Highway 705: John Ray was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule II (Fentanyl), maintaining a vehicle of controlled substances, simple possession of schedule IV (Xanax), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, driving while license revoked, and use of red/blue lights. Misty Kidd was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule II (Fentanyl), maintaining a vehicle with controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Assisted the sheriff’s office with a traffic stop on Highway 24/27 and Highway 705: The individual was charged with possession of schedule II, driving while license revoked, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Moore County Sheriff’s Office cited the driver with vehicle violations.
Week 2
Traffic stop on Highway 705 and Middleton Street: Haddock said Dana McNeil was driving with no lights on after dark. She was charged with driving while her license was revoked, expired registration, no license plate, no insurance, expired inspection, failure to carry an inspection card, and rear lamp violation.
Wendy Lambert was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle.
Traffic stop on Highway 24/27 and Highway 705: Officers arrested John Doe when he allegedly would not heed to lights and sirens. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle for two miles, but after coming to a stop, the man allegedly refused to provide a name. He was charged with fleeing to elude, failure to heed lights and sirens, fraudulent ID, fictitious tag, no driver’s license, no registration, no insurance, distraction with TV in vehicle, and rear lamp violation.
Week 3
Traffic stop on Highway 24/27 and Highway 705: Donald English was charged with driving while his license was revoked, expired registration, fictitious tag, no insurance, rear lamp violation, no registration card, and no registration.
Check point with Vass Police Department: Exabiel Bonilla-Lopez allegedly did not stop for officers; they followed for five miles on U.S. Hwy 1 before multiple officers boxed the driver in, forcing him to stop the vehicle. He was charged with fleeing to elude arrest, driving with no license, reckless driving, and unlawfully passing an emergency vehicle.
Traffic check on Plank Road and Garden Drive: The driver allegedly turned around as they approached the checkpoint. The driver was charged with failure to heed lights and sirens, driving while license revoked, possession of schedule VI, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, expired registration plate, driving without two headlamps, and expired inspection.
Week 4
Traffic stop: Justin Chriscoe was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II, possession of schedule II (Xanax), maintain vehicle with controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of schedule VI, possession on marijuana up to 1/2 oz., possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and speeding.
Traffic stop of a moped on N. Middleton Street and Elm Street: Boyce Dowd was charged with altering serial number, fictitious tag, expired license plate, no registration plate, no insurance, expired inspection, failure to carry registration card, and failure to notify of address change.
Officers were called to the American Growler location in Robbins for a trespasser. Julio Pedro-Pasccual was charged with first-degree trespassing after entering posted government property and was asked to leave by employees, but he allegedly refused.
Defendants facing criminal charges are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
