Robbins Police seek suspects in home robbery

Two suspects are on the run after a home burglary Monday morning before 9 a.m. on Hemp St. near Milliken Park in Robbins.

“There is no active threat to the community,” said Robbins Police Chief Ben Haddock.

Two children and their grandmother were at home during the robbery.

Two suspects wearing all black with black masks broke into the home and stole items, said Haddock. One suspect, armed with a gun, struck the homeowner in the head with it. According to Chief Haddock, she did not sustain any injuries.

The two suspects ran out of the house with stolen items and fled on foot.
