Rollover collision slows traffic in Eastwood

A two-vehicle collision, resulting in one vehicle rolling over, occurred at the intersection of N.C. Highway 73 and Beulah Hill Church Road. The collision occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, causing Eastwood traffic to be delayed.

Eastwood Fire Department arrived to find a Ford F150 on its side, occupied by a male driver. The vehicle had major rollover damage, air bags deployment, and personnel debris from the truck bed scattered in the road.

The second vehicle was a Honda CRV, located in the westbound lane of N.C. Highway 73, occupied by a female driver. The vehicle had major front-end damage and air bag deployment.

Moore County EMS responded to the scene, and no injuries were reported.

According to N.C. State Highway Patrol, the Honda SUV failed to yield the stop sign on Beulah Hill Church Road. The driver of the Honda pulled into oncoming traffic, striking the Ford truck in the rear panel, causing the truck to roll over.

Debris, personnel items, and fluids were scattered all over the westbound lane of N.C. Highway 73, causing the lane to be shut down for an extended period of time.

Moore County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene.
