Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields is warning churches of spoofed emails targeting local congregations.
These scams have recently been reported to the sheriff’s office.
“In recent reports, members of local churches have received spoofed emails that look like they are coming from the Pastor requesting gift cards to be purchased,” said Fields on social media regarding this scam.
