A wanted fugitive in Moore county was found Saturday hiding in a bedroom closet in Greenville, according to Pitt County Sheriff’s Office.
David Ray Justice, Jr. was taken into custody on 10 outstanding charges from Moore County.
“Deputies investigated until they identified a possible location on Ms. Paul’s Lane in Greenville,” said the sheriff’s department on its Facebook page. “Deputies searched the residence, at which time they discovered David Ray Justice, Jr., 53, of Greenville hiding in a bedroom closet.”
He was charged with three counts of felony breaking and/or entering, four counts of felony larceny after breaking and/or entering, felony larceny of a firearm, felony obtaining property by false pretense, and failure to appear.
Justice had drugs on him at the time of his arrest, so he was also charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance.
Pitt County Sheriff’s Office did not state what town in Moore County the crimes occurred in.
Justice was taken to Pitt County Detention Center, and his bond was set at $110,500.
