The investigation of several car break-ins that took place overnight on July 7 is currently being conducted by the Southern Pines Police Department.
The police department announced on its Facebook page that most break-ins involved unlocked cars located east of May Street from midnight to 5 a.m.
“Please review home security camera systems for suspicious activity overnight,” said the department. “If you find video or still footage, please contact the SPPD dispatch center at 910-692-7031. As a reminder, please lock all vehicles in your driveway and secure valuables from plain sight.”
