A normal afternoon for a dental office near Vass took a shocking turn after a truck crashed into the building. The single-vehicle accident occurred around 2 p.m. on Thursday at Hometown Family Dental, which is on Southern Dunes Drive just off U.S. Highway 1, south of Vass.
Sandhills Sentinel spoke with management on site who reported that an elderly female was driving a Ford F150 truck when she crashed into the side of the building.
The resulting damage was a large hole in the brick structure and a ruptured water line. Duke Energy was also requested to shut off power to the building until repairs are made.
A building inspector from Moore County was called out to inspect the damages to the building, and a repair crew has been contacted and will be coming out to make necessary repairs.
There were no injuries reported in the crash.
