On Tuesday morning, traffic in the Seven Lakes community in West End was delayed due to a collision involving two vehicles.
The crash occurred at the Highway 211 and Seven Lakes Drive intersection, resulting in two individuals being transported to the hospital.
According to a Facebook post by Seven Lakes Fire and Rescue, a trapped individual was accessed by firefighters who removed the driver’s door.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is currently investigating to determine the cause of the accident. The road was closed while crews worked the accident scene.
“Big thank you to West End Fire and Rescue for the assistance with traffic control and extrication,” said Seven Lakes Fire and Rescue. “Close working departments make events like this flow smoothly.”
