Carolina Water Service Inc of North Carolina is advising customers in Whispering Pines that they are flushing its water system from April 4-15.
Flushing is a preventive measure for water quality and is performed periodically.
“While we do not anticipate any problems or inconveniences, customers may experience brief periods of lower than normal water pressure, possible cloudy water and/or temporary discoloration,” said Carolina Water Service Inc of North Carolina to the Village of Whispering Pines. “As a precaution, we recommend customers postpone laundry washing until the flushing has been completed and the water returns to normal.”
If you experience problems after the flushing discontinues, the water company said to “flush your bathtub faucet for at least 3 minutes to clear any discoloration inside the home.”
