A driver crashes car and flees the scene in Pinebluff Saturday afternoon.
The single-car accident occurred in the 200 block of Pinebluff Lake Road. Responding units were Pinebluff Fire & Rescue, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, and the Pinebluff Police Department.
The vehicle lost control as it was heading into a curve, struck a culvert, then sheared a power pole in two. The passenger’s side window was down, and authorities believe the driver climbed out the window to escape the vehicle. Since the driver fled the scene, authorities are unsure if the driver is injured. It is believed that speed was a factor in the crash.
