24/27 crash closes one lane outside of Robbins

A collision on N.C. 24/27 Highway at Talc Mine Road outside of Robbins closed one lane of traffic Sunday afternoon, causing slight traffic delays.

The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. when a Honda SUV collided with a semi in the eastbound lane.

The SUV’s driver, a female, suffered injuries to her arm. No one else was injured. After evaluation, she was transported to Moore Regional Hospital by EMS.

Despite the heavy damage to the front of the SUV, the semi was relatively unscathed. 

The SUV suffered heavy front-end damage. There was no damage to the trailer of the semi.

That portion of 24/27 was down to one lane for around an hour while Robbins Fire and Rescue cleared the debris and the SUV could be removed.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office was on scene assisting with traffic control.
