A man accused of stealing a car was arrested and placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $1,500 secured bond, announced Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news advisory.
Thirty-three-year-old Dustin Fowler, of Carthage, was arrested the day after the larceny occurred.
“On October 2, 2023, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen motor vehicle from a residence in the Carthage area of Moore County,” said Fields. “The vehicle was recovered in Spring Lake, North Carolina the same day.”
Fowler was arrested on Oct. 3 on a charge of one count of felony larceny of a motor vehicle. He is due in court on Nov. 1 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
