An Aberdeen woman is facing charges after police said she allegedly stole more than $1,500 in cash from the Firehouse Subs where she worked.
On November 24, Aberdeen Officers responded to Firehouse Subs regarding a reported larceny by an employee, Deijah Williams, 30, that had occurred the night before.
“Upon arrival, officers gathered all available information to include statements and video surveillance, and began to investigate the allegations,” reports the Aberdeen Police Department. “Officers were able to confirm that Williams had worked the night before and had intentionally stolen over $1,500 worth of cash from the business before resigning.”
Warrants were obtained for Williams on a Felony Larceny by Employee charge, and she was located at her residence several hours later.
Williams was subsequently arrested and taken before a Moore County Magistrate, who set no bond as a condition of her pending pre-trial release.
All suspects and persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
