ALDI welcomes shoppers back to its renovated Aberdeen store when it reopened last Thursday. The store, located at 1500 N. Sandhills Blvd., is part of a $1.6 billion initiative to remodel and expand more than 1,300 ALDI stores nationwide by the end of 2020.
ALDI has been closed since the end of March for the remodeling project which includes the sales floor expanding 1,100 sq. ft. to approximately 11,200 sq. ft. The store is now open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
To celebrate the reopening, ALDI will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday at 8:25 a.m., followed by its popular Golden Ticket giveaway offering gift cards to the first 100 customers. Shoppers can also sample ALDI-exclusive brand foods and enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of ALDI produce.
The store’s modern and convenient layout focuses on what people love most: fresh food, produce, dairy and baked goods. The remodeled store feature open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials.
“At ALDI, everything we do is about delivering high-quality food at affordable prices, and that will never change,” said Krysta Cearley, Salisbury division vice president for ALDI. “Now it will be even easier for customers to find the foods they want from us at a great price, whether it’s fresh produce, award-winning wines or our beloved ALDI Finds.”
The Aberdeen store first opened its doors in 2013.
