A Sanford gun manufacturer recently donated 15 rifles to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the donation from Bear Creek Arsenal on social media on May 29.
“This incredible gift will ensure that every deputy assigned a rifle is now fully outfitted and prepared to respond with the tools necessary to protect our community,” said Fields.
Bear Creek Arsenal is located on McNeill Road in Sanford. According to its website, the nearly half-century-old company “develops and manufactures firearms and firearm products to a multitude of customers throughout the United States with one primary focus:Â providing the highest quality of firearms for the everyday American.”
Fields shared his gratitude: “We are so blessed to be able to partner with a local company who wholeheartedly supports their local law enforcement. Bear Creek Arsenal’s commitment to public safety and their community is truly appreciated.”
