An ‘armed and dangerous’ fugitive wanted in the Southern Pines Little Caesars robberies has been arrested Friday and jailed under a $520,000 bond.
In a news release Saturday, the Southern Pines Police Department asked the public’s help in locating Claude Christopher Miles, 42, from Raeford, who they say robbed Little Caesars Pizza on December 17 and January 5.
Miles is charged with first degree kidnapping, robbery with a firearm (two counts), breaking/entering to terrorize/injure and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a Friday news release from the Southern Pines Police Department.
It is unclear if the capture of Miles was due from a tip from the public.
Miles’ rap sheet with the Southern Pines Police Department includes robbery with a firearm, breaking and entering, violation of probation, theft of a motor vehicle, larceny, felony narcotic offenses and resisting arrest.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on January 23 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
