The annual Southern Pines Christmas Parade will be held Saturday at 11:00 am.
The Southern Pines Police Department is urging the public to be aware of the No Parking signs because vehicles left in these zones will be towed at owner’s expense.
NW Broad Street between West Connecticut Avenue and West New Hampshire Avenue will have parking restrictions.
The North and South sides of Broad Street from Vermont Avenue to Massachusetts Avenue will be closed from 6 a.m. through 1 p.m.
The Police Department is advising the parade-goers to use caution.
“Please use extreme caution when traveling in the downtown area during this time as there will be an unusual amount of people walking in the area,” said The Southern Pines Police Department in a written statement.
Local marching bands, groups, and Santa will be participating in the parade for everyone’s enjoyment. The parade is sponsored by the Southern Pines Business Association and co-sponsored by the Town of Southern Pines.
