A Sunday night wreck in Pinehurst stopped northbound traffic on NC-211 for the better half of an hour. Around 7:30 p.m., first responders received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of NC-211 and Page Road.
According to the Pinehurst Fire Department, the wreck occurred when a Chrylser 300 and a Dodge Charger collided together at a stoplight. The Chrysler then struck nearby crosswalk signage and a crosswalk light, knocking both over in the process.
Though both vehicles were significantly damaged, the drivers made it out with non-life-threatening injuries and were the only passengers in their vehicles at the time of the wreck. The driver of the Chrysler 300 was taken to Moore Regional Hospital by Moore County EMS, while the driver of the Dodge Charger made it out unscathed and declined treatment.
The scene was reviewed by the Pinehurst Police, Pinehurst Fire Department, and Moore County EMS. First responders worked to reroute traffic around the intersection while the scene of the collision was cleared.
