Crains Creek Fire Department responds to crash on Lobelia Road

Crains Creek Fire Department responded to a crash scene in Vass where a car flipped on its side Sunday afternoon. The car was fully blocking one lane of Lobelia Road with it’s front end partially blocking the other lane.

The driver was trapped inside the car, said Crains Creek Fire Department on its social media page.

“Upon arrival rescue 239 rescue stabilization tools were used to stabilize the vehicle and the windshield removed for access,” said Crains Creek Fire Department on Facebook. “The driver was then removed from the vehicle with no injuries.”

Moore County EMS and Moore County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene, and North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the single-vehicle crash.

Motorists were detoured to Wright Road while officials cleared the road.
