Emergency crews responded to a crash near Cameron at U.S. 15-501 and South Plank Road at the Moore and Lee County line on Monday evening.
Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue said on its Facebook page the three-vehicle collision occurred in Lee County. The impact of the crash pushed a car into Moore County.
“The driver of the car was pinned-in, so CPFR personnel along with members of the Lee County Departments removed the door of the car to access the patient,” said Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue. “The patient was then turned over to Moore County EMS which transported the patient to a nearby landing zone for a flight to the closest trauma center.”
One of the two individuals in a van that was taken to a hospital by Lee County EMS. The other van’s occupant and the driver from the third vehicle were treated on the scene, stated Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue.
Highway patrol is investigating the cause of the wreck.
