First responders were dispatched to a head-on collision in Vass on Monday.
The two-vehicle accident happened around noon at Lobelia Road and Morrison Bridge Road between an SUV and a pickup truck.
Aircare was originally paged to the scene but canceled a short time later.
“Luckily there appeared to be no life threatening injuries,” said Crains Creek Fire Department on its social media page a few hours after the accident.
Debris was scattered across the road. Both vehicles sustained damage, however, the SUV suffered extensive front-end damage.
Traffic was backed up while crews worked the scene.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
