A single-vehicle crash that occurred on Doubs Chapel Road is being investigated as a DWI. The crash occurred near Eastwood just before noon on Thursday.
Troopers say a man was driving west on Doubs Chapel Road near Highway 15-501 when he ran off the right side of the road and hit a storm drain, which caused the car to flip.
The driver was able to exit the car and then walked off from the crash scene. Sheriff’s deputies located the man half a mile away walking up the road.
He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Doubs Chapel Road was closed to one lane while the crash was investigated.
Troopers say speed was not a factor but during the investigation, they located alcohol bottles in the cab of the car.
Responding to the scene were Eastwood Fire, Carthage Fire, Moore County Sheriffs, Moore County EMS, and State Highway Patrol.
