A Moore County man was arrested after deputies reportedly found suspected drugs, a firearm, and cash during a search in the Eagle Springs area, according to the sheriff’s office.
On Aug. 19, detectives reportedly joined Moore County Probation and Parole officers in a search of a residence in the 9800 block of NC Highway 705. Sheriff Ronnie Fields said investigators allegedly seized suspected MDMA (commonly known as molly) along with cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, buprenorphine hydrochloride, Suboxone, oxycodone, hydrocodone, suspected drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and more than $600 in cash.
Curtis Morgan, 42, of Eagle Springs, was arrested and charged with trafficking in MDMA by possession; possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule I controlled substance; felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance; possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine; possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine; felony possession of cocaine; trafficking in opium or heroin by possession; possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule III controlled substance; felony possession of a Schedule III controlled substance; possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana; felony possession of marijuana; maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances; simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the sheriff’s office.
Morgan was booked into the Moore County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 28 in Moore County District Court.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
