A family sustained minor injuries on Tuesday evening after escaping a single-vehicle crash outside of Robbins.

At approximately 7 p.m., first responders were called to the scene of a vehicle that had flipped over. The accident took place on Plank Road between Cockman and Lonnie roads.

Five occupants of a Chevy Impala were evaluated on the scene by EMS. Three pediatric patients were transported to Moore Regional Hospital with minor injuries, and their mother rode with them. One adult was evaluated on scene and cleared by Moore County EMS.

According to radio traffic from Robbins Fire and Rescue, when arriving on the scene, one patient was lying on the road, and witnesses were moving shrubbery to get to the vehicle.

According to authorities, the vehicle was heading toward Robbins when it crossed the centerline and lost control. The vehicle rested on its side, down an embankment, in the woods.
