Flyers welcome local standout Brooke Emore to volleyball program

Brooke Emore is joining the Flyers volleyball family. A dynamic outside hitter from Pinecrest High School, Brooke’s power and competitive spirit will be a game-changer for the program.

Brooke has been playing volleyball for seven years and has built an impressive resume. She is a two-time All-Conference selection, a two-time AVCA Watch List honoree, and was named Conference Player of the Year. She also earned recognition as the Female Fall Sport Athlete of the County.

Standing at 5’11,” Brooke played a key role in Pinecrest’s success, helping lead the team to a 21-9 overall record and a dominant 13-0 conference season. She also gained valuable experience playing travel volleyball with Carolina Advantage.

When asked why she chose Sandhills, Brooke said, “I chose to play volleyball at SCC because of the amazing coaching staff and their commitment to developing players.” She is eager to compete at the next level and looks forward to representing the Flyers while making unforgettable memories with her teammates.

Her passion for the game is evident, especially when it comes to the energy of competition. “My favorite thing about volleyball is the excitement you and everyone on the team gets when a crazy kill happens,” Brooke said. She also plans to compete in beach volleyball for the Flyers.

“As a local standout from Pinecrest High School, she brings incredible power to our team and embodies the qualities of a great teammate,” said Flyers head coach Alicia Riggan in a press release. “Her work ethic and competitive spirit will make an immediate impact on our program.”

Brooke plans to major in radiology while continuing her athletic journey at Sandhills.
