For anyone traveling on N. Sandhills Blvd or Highway 15-501 in Aberdeen, Furniture in the Pines is hard to miss.

When stopped at the main intersection of both roads, all you need to do is look up, and you will see their very prominent, distinguished-looking sign.

You can’t miss the Furniture in the Pines sign on the corner of U.S. Highway 1 and 15-501 in Aberdeen.

When I visited Furniture in the Pines to interview owners Rick and Sanna Nassar for this article, I left their 5,000 square foot showroom wanting many of the beautiful and unique pieces on display, including this unique looking rocker from designer furniture manufacturer, Moes.

A unique Moe’s rocker.

Furniture in the Pines is coming up on their one year anniversary in business. Rick and Sanna built their business from the bottom up, which included fully remodeling the interior of the store.

They moved into their current location at 1606 N. Sandhills Blvd in February 2019, taking over a vacant storefront that formerly housed a golf outlet.

I learned from Sanna that Furniture in the Pines has been well received by the local community here in the Sandhills, in addition to attracting customers from Charlotte, Asheboro and Raleigh.

Discounts are offered to military, first responders and teachers.

This leather sectional is one among many at Furniture in the Pines.

Sanna worked in her parent’s first furniture store in Ohio while growing up, where she learned early on the inner workings of the furniture business. Being focused on customer satisfaction, she believes in the motto, “the customers is always right.”

Their product line includes low end, affordable items to higher-end designer brands such as Four Hands and Moes. Seventy-Five percent of items sold in the store are made in the U.S.A., and most of the tables are solid wood.
