Kimberly Coe named Moore County Schools Principal of the Year

Moore County Schools has named Kimberly Coe of New Century Middle School as its 2026–2027 Principal of the Year.

The district announced the honor in a Facebook post and praised Coe’s 16 years in education and her service in multiple roles across Moore County Schools. She has led New Century Middle School as principal for the past four years.

“Today, we are proud to recognize Principal Kimberly Coe of New Century Middle School as the Moore County Schools Principal of the Year for 2026–2027,” the district wrote. “Her leadership reflects an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, student growth, and building a strong, supportive school community.”

According to the post, Coe’s colleagues unanimously selected her for the recognition. She will now represent the district in the Sandhills Region Principal of the Year competition.

Moore County Schools will formally honor Coe at its Principal and Teacher of the Year Banquet on April 21, where the district will recognize educators from across the county.
