The O’Neal School’s Andrew Hobbs ’26 has been awarded the highly selective four-year Army ROTC Scholarship, which is awarded to only 20% of applicants.
The ROTC scholarship provides comprehensive financial support for his college education, covering either full tuition and fees or room and board at any of over 1,000 participating colleges and universities, and includes a monthly tax-free stipend of $420 throughout the school year plus an annual book allowance of $1,200.
Beyond the financial benefits, the Army ROTC program offers leadership training, professional development opportunities, and a direct path to commissioning as an officer, allowing Andrew to gain the full college experience while preparing for a career serving his country.
