Laundry Ladybug brings loads of convenience to Moore County

Laundry Ladybug has landed in Southern Pines, bringing with it a load of convenience. With front porch pickup and delivery options, Laundry Ladybug aims to take the hassle out of laundry day for residents of Moore County.

Behind this buzzing new business is Paige Yount, owner and operator of Laundry Ladybug. As a self-proclaimed “laundry nerd” and “lover of all things laundry,” Paige saw an opportunity to fill a gap in the market and provide a much-needed service to the community.

Paige explained that the idea for Laundry Ladybug was conceived when she needed short-term help following a minor medical procedure but came up empty on accessible laundry services.

“I was surprised that there were no other services in our area that offered pickup and delivery laundry services,” Paige explained. “Fast forward a few years, and I wanted to gift laundry services as a new baby gift and still could not locate this type of full-service laundry with the pickup and delivery element.”

These experiences led Paige to research the laundry service industry and study similar models in North Carolina and other states. What started as a household habit and hobby resulted in a business where Paige receives joy from serving others.

“I truly enjoy every aspect of the laundry process and knew I could help others with this service,” said Paige.

Laundry Ladybug was launched in late January, and the month of February consisted of test groups to iron out the hiccups. Once everything was sorted, Laundry Ladybug took flight into full-scale service.

Her favorite part so far has been seeing the various reasons clients choose to use Laundry Ladybug. Some of those include clients who simply don’t enjoy laundry, need help catching up, don’t own a washer/dryer or have broken appliances, as well as those recovering from surgery or injury.

The entirety of the process is designed to be simple, convenient, and contactless. Clients book online at their convenience, place the laundry to be picked up on their porch, and clean laundry is delivered in 24 hours.

According to Paige, a common challenge in the laundry service industry is having the proper service options to meet the community’s needs. To overcome this, Laundry Ladybug was designed to have multiple service options to accommodate everyone.

Paige ensures the experience is tailored to each client’s personal preferences. Each customer can choose what detergents they would like to use and can even provide their own products if desired. Laundry from different households is never mixed at any stage of the laundering process, and orders can even be kept separated by household members if requested.

Despite the fact Laundry Ladybug has only been serving Moore County for a few short months, Paige is already going out of her way to better serve the community. Recently, options have been added to serve massage therapists, estheticians, salons/spas, and even short-term rentals, VRBO, and Airbnb. The company extends special savings to local heroes for their contributions to our community — military personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS responders, dispatchers, nurses, and teachers — as well as seniors aged 60 and above.

At present, Laundry Ladybug serves the majority of Moore County. When clients sign up for an account on the website, they will be notified if Laundry Ladybug services their address.
