The incident happened around 2 pm when the driver was backing from U.S. 1 into  the Ingram Lumberyard and dropped a pair of his rear wheels into a small ditch, according to retired firefighter, Frank Staples.

The logs were thrown from the truck as it overturned, and a crane had to brought in to remove the logs.

The driver was uninjured. The truck was from McKendall Trucking Company out of Sanford and had Thank You Jesus written on the side of the cab.

Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue, Vass Police Department, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded, and the scene was cleaned up fairly quickly.
