On Wednesday afternoon, law enforcement was called to Woodgreen Apartments on the outskirts of Aberdeen following reports of a domestic dispute that resulted in a physical altercation. The initial report came in shortly before 12:30 p.m. and stated that a victim had been shot with a pellet gun, prompting an immediate response from local authorities.

On scene, Chief Chavis with the Aberdeen Police Department confirmed that a physical altercation had occurred between two male suspects. Chavis told Sandhills Sentinel that during the struggle, one suspect, upon losing the upper hand, pulled out a pellet gun and discharged four to five rounds at the second suspect.

The second suspect sustained multiple injuries, including two shots to the face, one to the arm, and one to the back.

Charges are pending for both parties at this time.
