Mobile home destroyed in Robbins fire

A home in Robbins was destroyed by a house fire on Wednesday night. Reports of heavy smoke and flames from a mobile home on Carter Road, just off North Moore Road, prompted a response from multiple local units around 5:30 p.m.

By the time the call had been placed and first responders arrived at the house, the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames. A utility pole next to the structure was also compromised.

Authorities on scene told Sandhills Sentinel that no one was inside the residence at the time of the fire.

Fire crews were able to safely extinguish the blaze, but the home was burned beyond repair.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time, and no further details were released on scene.
