SPPD members recognized for outstanding performance

New interactive website promotes citizen awareness in the fight against crime. The Southern Pines Police Department announced “Citizen Connect” on Aug. 7 as the improved interactive crime data tool for the public.

It is a browser-based solution for convenient searches for accident reports, police reports, daily reports, arrests and includes an interactive map.

Citizen Connect is updated every 72 hours after the occurrence, and no registration is required.

The free service features an anonymous tip form to electronically assist the Southern Pines Police Department. Tips are directed to the Investigations Division for review and follow up.

Citizens’ civic duty in fighting crime begins at https://www.sosoftcc.com/sppd.
