Billie Jean Hansen, age 75, of Vass, passed away on November 6, 2021, while resting at home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at New Covenant Fellowship Church with Pastor Lee McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be held at a later date at Sandhills State Veterans’ Cemetery in Spring Lake.
Billie Jean was born in Reading, Kansas on January 21, 1946, to the late John Willie Hodge and Doris Jean Bryan Hodge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl; brothers, Everette, Franklin, James and John.
She spent her career in Property Management, was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed by many family and friends. Her love for our Lord and her family impacted a great number and will always be remembered. She and her husband had a long history with Teen Challenge, a ministry that was close to her heart.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joel Hansen; son, Daniel Robert Hansen (Tiffany) of California; daughters, Karen Marie Radcliffe (John) of Colorado, Donna Jean Kokes (Jerry) of Carthage; sister, Debbie Ann of Kansas; grandchildren, Brittany, Cassie, Bryan, Erica, Travis, Jonathan, Sabrina; and six great-grandchildren.
