Obituary for Corinne A. Winegardner

In Loving Memory of Corinne A. Winegardner

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Corinne Winegardner, a devoted wife, a cherished mother, and a beloved friend. Born on January 1, 1948 to the late Normand Pilotte and Leonie Pilotte. She left us on October 31, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, strength, and boundless kindness.

Fondly known as Co to many, she lived most of her life in Tiverton, Rhode Island. Co and husband Dick moved to North Carolina in 2010 where she enjoyed the rest of her life.

A nurturing and compassionate soul, Corinne dedicated her life to the well-being and happiness of her family. Her unwavering support and endless love for them were the cornerstones of her life. A pillar of her family, she infused every moment with warmth, joy, and an unyielding spirit.

Co was not to sit idly by… She lived her life. From cruising the Ave on a borrowed motorcycle to riding on the back of Dick’s Harley. She enjoyed ski trips, golfing, and shopping, she was also proud of her skydiving adventure. Co took pleasure in traveling both in and out of the states, always surrounded and sharing life with her friends and family.

Family and friends will forever remember Co’s infectious laughter, her generous spirit, and her extraordinary ability to make everyone feel welcomed. She approached life with a grace and resilience that inspired all who knew her.

Corinne’s legacy lives on through the love and memories she left behind, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Co is survived by her loving husband, Dick Winegardner, and her children, Rick Winegardner and Rebecca Boyle. She also leaves four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, four brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Her memory will be cherished by all whose lives she touched, and her spirit will continue to guide and comfort her family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 11:00am at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Vass, North Carolina with Pastor John Brown officiating, where we will gather to celebrate her remarkable life and bid farewell to a truly extraordinary woman.

In lieu of flowers, Corinne’s wishes were for donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, thank you.
