Dawn Paige Blakely Thompson, 48, passed away on May 2, 2021 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Dawn was born September 12, 1972 in Moore County to Donald and Brenda Thomas Blakely.
She is preceded in death by her father Donald L. Blakely.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Jason Thompson; children Johnny McKenzie, Dillon McKenzie (Jessica), and Nathan McKenzie (Holly) and their son Landon. She is also survived by her mother Brenda Blakely, brother Bruce Blakely and her niece Lauren Lewis (Joe).
Dawn worked as a clerk for Harris Teeter and at several local fast-food restaurants. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a member of Doubs Chapel Methodist Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
A walk-through visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Boles Funeral Home, 425 Pennsylvania Avenue, Southern Pines, NC 28387. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Doubs Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1444 Doubs Chapel Road, West End, NC 27376. COVID guidelines will be observed for both services.
