Elaine Crouse Crissman, 96, of Ashley Heights, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 29, 2021 at St. Joseph of The Pines Health Center in Southern Pines.
Elaine was born in Moore County, a daughter of the late John and Myrtie Crouse.
She was a long-time member of Ashley Heights Baptist Church, serving as a devoted member of the church choir and substitute pianist, a Sunday School Teacher, and WMU member. She loved playing hymns on the piano. She retired from McCain Hospital.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Glenn Crissman; her daughter Joye Russell and her husband Herman; her son Johnny Crissman; and all of her siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Jennie Lewis (Wayne), Joel Crissman (Nancy), Jim Crissman (Barbara), Janice Everhart (Robbie) and Judy Davis (Kevin); 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A public memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Ashley Heights Baptist Church, 10351 Aberdeen Rd, Aberdeen, NC 28315. Private family graveside service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Ashley Heights Baptist Church Building Fund.
