Kenneth Franklin Bertram, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Whiteville, NC.
Kenneth was born in Rossville, IL and moved to Aberdeen, NC after serving 4 years in the US Army 82nd Airborne Division. He was a master mechanic and owned Bertram Garage on 211 in Aberdeen until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed his family, camping, fishing and crossword puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia Lou Bertram. He is survived by his son Steven Bertram (Jamie), daughter Deborah Bertram Jacques (Francisco), Jamie Emanuel (Arnold); 2 sisters, Judy Curtain and Wilma Goldson; 5 grandchildren, Samantha Bertram Blackwell ( Marvin), Daniel Bertram, Crystal Tidwell, Francesca Jacques and Wolfgang Jacques.
A visitation will be held at Boles Funeral home in Southern Pines on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 1-3 p.m.
