Max R. Livengood, 85, passed away peacefully at First Health Hospital on April 25, 2024, while surrounded by his family. He was known for his musical talents and his Christian faith. He was also known for his carpentry skills.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rita; daughters Catherine Livengood Palmer (William) of Havelock, NC; Susan Livengood Barwick (Byron) of Seven Springs, NC; Mendy Lewis of Aberdeen, NC; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his son, Nathan Livengood.
A visitation with the family will be held at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines on Saturday, May 4th from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Parkinson’s Disease Research.
