Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Southern Pines.
Survivors: Wife, Mattie McDonald; children, Phillip McLellan (Willette), Vana Barber, and Tangela Upchurch; siblings, Gene McCrimmon (Estelle), Samuel King (Elaine), and Judy McLeod (Charles); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patricia Newton; brother-in-law, Ronald Fields; and other relatives.
