To protect the health and wellness of players, coaches, families, administrators and referees from potential COVID-19 coronavirus exposure, the AC Sandhills board of directors suspended all club activities, training and games until further notice.
As a multi-sport club, they have been coordinating with the governing bodies of soccer, volleyball and lacrosse programs over the past 24 hours.
Late Thursday afternoon, North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA) suspended all activities until April 1.
Thursday evening, the North Carolina Girls Lacrosse League (NCGLL) suspended all practices and play days until March 28.
USA Volleyball – Carolinas Region canceled all tournaments this weekend. As such, ACS volleyball activities are suspended until Monday, March 16 to give USAV time making a final decision on next weekend’s regional championship event.
AC Sandhills staff is already working with local municipalities, schools and training sites to adjust practices, matches and seasons accordingly. They ask for your patience as they work through this.
AC Sandhills will continue to monitor activities of their respective governing bodies, and their sport directors will communicate to you and coaches as decisions are made. They will also post updates on Facebook and Instagram sites as well as ACSandhills.com.
