William Ralph Richardson, age 87, of Carthage, NC passed away peacefully on March 28, 2022 at First Health Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Friday at the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with the Reverend William Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes and other times at the home of his niece, Lydia Craven.
Ralph was born on September 17, 1934 in Moore County; to the late Coy and Rachel Pusser Richardson. He graduated from West End High School.
He worked on the family farm and was an outdoorsman who loved the land, hunting and all of God’s creations.
He was a life-long and devoted member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Carthage. He loved his church, his friends and his family. He enjoyed the love and fellowship of gathering with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters Catherine Louise Richardson, and Florence Richardson Cox Clapp.
He is survived by his brother, Hale Richardson and wife Tina, of Carthage. His nieces and nephews, Steve Cox and wife Natalie; Lydia Craven and husband Roger; Greg Cox and wife, Vicki; Darrell Cox and wife, Kelly; Randy Cox and wife, Gwyn; Tammy Dutton and husband, Mike: Crystal Lynn and husband, Jason; and a host of great and great great nieces and nephews and his special cat “Fluffy.”
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Ralph’s memory to Mt. Carmel UMC, c/o Carol Richardson, 370 Richardson Road, Carthage, NC 28327.
