Helen Mae Neal Kivett, age 86 of Carthage died January 19, 2018 at Peak Resources – Pinelake.
There will be a luncheon at noon on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church followed by visitation at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm funeral service conducted by Dr. William Cooper. Burial will follow in Cross Hill Cemetery
She was born in Moore County on 2/25/1931 to the late Claborn Mack Neal and Lessie Pearl Barber Neal.
She worked as an inspector at Quality Mills. She and her husband operated Kivett’s Store for many years in Carthage.
She is preceded by her stepmother, Annie Neal, her husband, James Kivett, brother, Melvin Neal, sister, Irene Shaver. Helen loved working outside and had a green thumb. She loved her cats, Tiger and Kit-Kat, and was well loved her church family at Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Jackie Boggs (Mike) of Sanford, Alice Greene (Mark) of Hopkinsville, KY, sisters, Hilda Coles of Columbus, Indiana and Vivian Wyne (Jessie) of Mebane; grandchildren, April Boggs, Jamie Seawell, Stephen Barber, Kim Tibbetts; great-grandchildren, Dalton Seawell, Logan Tibbetts, Avery and Layton Barber.
