On Saturday, May 4, The Pages of the Pines Festival returns for the third year to the Southern Pines Public Library. Authors will be on hand to sell their books and chat with readers from 10 to 2 p.m. inside the library and outside on the grounds. Over 30 authors have signed up to participate. They will be coming from all over Moore County, as well as a few from Fayetteville and the Triangle area.

Many genres of writing will be represented including children’s books, inspirational and devotional books, memoir, mystery, poetry, and more.

“This event is a great way for the public to support the talented and creative community right here in our backyard,” says event organizer Laurel Holden. “Plus, the authors get a chance to work on marketing themselves and their books.”

On Sunday, May 5 starting at 2:30 p.m., authors Donna Everhart, Marybeth Whalen, and T.I. Lowe will be at the library for a fun and informative Author Chat. These authors will share their experiences with the world of publishing, plus give some insight into their writing and research processes.
