Pinehurst Medical Clinic welcomes nurse practitioner to Sanford Walk-In Clinic

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) announced Breanne VandeVrede, DNP, FNP-C, to the team at PMC Walk-In Clinic – Sanford to further its accessibility to PMC patients needing convenient, same-day care. This is one of two Walk-In Clinic locations at PMC, located at 555 Carthage Street in Sanford.

VandeVrede attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in North Dartmouth, Mass., where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner degree.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, VandeVrede served patients as a registered nurse in the emergency department setting. VandeVrede states that she has always had a passion for helping others, especially during their hardest days, and that’s what initially drew her to emergency medicine. She now comes to PMC with additional experience in the urgent care setting as a nurse practitioner and looks forward to utilizing evidence-based medicine to help her patients feel better quickly.

When providing patient care, VandeVrede focuses on active listening to truly understand patients’ concerns and educate them on how to be as healthy as possible.

She looks forward to joining the PMC team to have the opportunity to serve her community and take care of her neighbors.

VandeVrede recently relocated to Southern Pines from Durham with her husband and their dog. When not caring for patients, she enjoys hiking outside with her dog, traveling to new places, reading and visiting local spots with friends.

PMC Walk-In Clinic – Sanford is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. To learn more, please visit pinehurstmedical.com.
