June 1, 2018

After being shut down for failing a fire inspection last week, Frank Theaters sent out an email Friday to customers announcing a renovation to the theater.

The announcement comes after Sandhills Cinemas 10 passed a follow-up fire inspection and was given the all clear to open by Southern Pines Fire Department.

The email stated an apology for any inconveniences caused by the recent closing and then proceeded to state the theater will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation beginning this year.

Over the last three years, Sandhills Cinemas have been cited with 187 violations.  The Southern Pines Fire Department will be performing monthly fire inspections as a precautionary measure.
