Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced Wednesday the arrests of several people.
On May 6, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Carthage Road in West End. As a result of the stop, detectives discovered suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Nicholas Troxler, 33, of Candor, N.C., was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and driving with a revoked license. Troxler was released on a written promise to appear in Moore County district court on May 17.
Alexus Tucker, 24, of West End, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tucker was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $2,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on May 17.
On May 7, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 5300 block of U.S. Highway 15-501 in Carthage. As a result of the stop, detectives discovered suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.
Gary Shoemaker, 41, of Jackson Springs, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and failure to maintain lane control. Shoemaker was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on May 17.
Deandra Greene, 35, of Asheboro, N.C., was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Greene was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a 48-hour hold and is scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on May 17.
Jared Haywood, 41, of West End, was arrested on charges of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, carrying a concealed firearm, and possession of firearm by a convicted felon. Haywood was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $21,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on May 17.
On May 7, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Cooper’s Park Drive in Eagle Springs. As a result of the search, detectives seized suspected cocaine, marijuana, and items of drug paraphernalia.  Â
Malcom Smith, 27, of Eagle Springs, was arrested on charges of felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for controlled substance, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and two counts of misdemeanor child abuse. Smith was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a 48-hour hold and is scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on May 20.
On May 7, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Barber’s Park Drive in Carthage. As a result of the search, detectives seized suspected fentanyl, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.  Â
Ethan Jackson, 23, of Carthage, was arrested on charges of felony possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, selling a schedule II controlled substance, delivering a schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for controlled substance, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Jackson was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on May 20.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
