Moore County Sheriff’s Office is warning citizens of a possible scam targeting area churches.
According to a Monday news release, a white male is showing up at Moore County churches in a faded blue Chevrolet truck equipped with ladders and ladder racks asking to work for cash, meals, or shelter in exchange for work. The truck has a Florida license plate of EXY-W07.
The news release did not provide any further details.
Anyone who sees unusual or suspicious activity is asked to call Moore County Sheriff’s Office at 910-947-2931 or the tip line at 910-947-4444.
