Southern Pines man arrested on cocaine charges

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said a Southern Pines man was arrested after a drug investigation and placed at the detention center under a $25,000 secured bond.

Fifty-five-year-old Franzy Wilson is facing charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, possession of marijuana greater than 1/2 to 1 ½ ounce, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was arrested on Jan. 13 when deputies executed a search warrant in the 700 block of West Michigan Avenue in Southern Pines.

Authorities seized cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia said Fields in a news advisory.

Wilson is due in court on Feb. 10 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
