Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Department arrested a woman from Southern Pines on alleged drug charges following a traffic stop in Pinebluff on Thursday.
“On October 27, 2022, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of Pinebluff Cemetery Road in Pinebluff,” said Fields in a news advisory.
After a search of the vehicle, deputies found heroin, oxycodone, and drug paraphernalia and arrested 42-year-old Susan Marie McRae Lira.
“Susan Marie McRae Lira was also served with an outstanding warrant for arrest out of Moore County for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and identity theft,” said Fields.
The suspect is facing charges of possession of heroin, simple possession of schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $20,000.
She is expected in court on Nov. 2 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
